Jack Webb, cheesiest actor of all time. Don't get me wrong, I like the show, but I think its cheesiness is the best part of it.

shareWith all due respect: Jack Webb was an excellent actor. Watch "Sunset Blvd." and "Appointment with Danger" back-to-back to get an idea of his range. And examine the way he moved, he had the grace of a dancer. As for his directing style, the "Dragnet" franchise, like his movies "Pete Kelly's Blues" and "-30-", were the film equivalent of the superrealist school of art.
