Worth Seeing.

I just watched this masterpiece (twice) over the weekend and it is worth seeing for any movie buff. The photography alone is worth the price. Compare this film to any film from today and you can see the difference. Everything from today is shot with a colored filter, probably green, and that's why I enjoy the older films better.

Wow! "Masterpiece"! I don't know about that. Being that it was made in 1969, I thought that technically the film was very well made. It's just that the story was SO spare and minimal and the characters all so self - possessed (including the coach), I just didn't end up feeling much for them at all. May be that was the point Michael Ritchie was trying to get across. But ultimately it left me in the cold.
