Searching for possible ABC MOTW

...but not certain as to production year, or if it was even an ABC production, but I'm posting this here in hopes that some of you experts can help me track this down. My recollections of it are vague, but I know I did see it a couple of times in the mid-1970's, and on network television when I was extremely little, so that's why I'm hazy on the details.

The plot that I recall involved a woman and her search for either her mother or her daughter (not sure which) who had died, and that she believed was reincarnated. The key to finding her was that the deceased was a pianist, and there was a specific piece of music associated with her.

Two particular scenes I recall were a car accident where it was raining, the windows had fogged up, and a child was screaming like crazy. I think this was the "death" scene that sets the whole chain of events off.

The second was a concert, an outdoor classical concert where this apparent "reunion" takes place between the two women; the survivor has recognized the special piece of music, and goes forward to meet the "reincarnation".

That's all I've got, I'm afraid. Obviously, the passage of time can mean I've gotten things mixed up some, but it left such a vivid impression, I know I didn't dream it all up.

Yes it was part of ABC televisions Movie of the Week and first aired in December of 1969. No you don't exactly have the synopsis correct on the movie and it's best described by doing a search on it where it will be explained. Unfortunately, unless you find a private collector who has a copy they taped you will not find this movie on video (not tape or Dvd).

Try www.aghosthouseproduction.com. I bought a DVD of this movie from them. Reasonable cost, fast shipping, and pretty good quality.

Hi, I believe the movie you are thinking of may be 1976's "The Premonition", I collect 70's Made For Tv & rare movies and I found this and watched it not that long ago and it has the music connection you are explaining. It has a bit of a cult following because (I believe) of it's star "Richard Lynch" who many of us remember from the scarily ironic movie Bad Dreams. The little girl in the movie is a young Danielle Brisebois by the way. I found it on Dvd and it had been released on Vhs too, although it may now be OOP.

That's IT! I can't believe someone came up with it. I've been trying to track this one down for several years now online, and several "expert" movie sites couldn't help me, but you did! Thanks!

Sounds like Audrey Rose, a theatrical film from 1977. You would probably enjoy that movie, too.
