Morricone Still Surprises Me

After listening to more than fifty scores by Morricone, I'm glad to know that I can still listen to score by him and be surprised at how awesome it is. This score is full of awesome themes - the main theme, of course, but also 'Dialogo 1' and 'Tema per la Goff' are highly addictive.

This world is a comedy to those that think, a tragedy to those that feel.

Yeah, actually Dialogo 1, Tema per le Goff, and the Main Theme are my favorites too. I also like the Finale. Ennio Morricone is my favorite film composer for a reason, and this is merely one of them. He has done so many great film soundtracks. I only own this, and the score for The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, though.

At last count I have about 40 Morricone scores - a long way to go I know, but this is without doubt one of his finest. There will never be anything cooler than a late '60s early '70s European film with a score by The Maestro.

yes, he never ceases to me. there are so many obscure gems by him.

SNACK BAR is also a nice romantic tune.

Why does he always use a Jew's Harp so much?
I've seen three movies, this one, a Western and a Giallo where he uses a Jew's Harp very prominently.
