Finally on DVD

I missed this movie when it came out so I've never experienced it in its theatrical presentation. I am hoping that this movie is released in letterbox form. I've seen a variety of advertisements on different web sights and its unclear if it'll be in its theatrical form. Amazon.com states that it'll be a full screen presentation, which is in contrast to Sony's page that says it'll be letterboxed.

I think the movie's best asset is it's stunning cinematography and it would be a shame if it's not in letterbox format.

I'm currently reviewing this DVD and I can tell you right now that the film is in fullscreen. Only the credits are letterboxed. :(

Have you tried looking at the reverse side? Sometimes a DVD will offer both a pan & scan and a letterbox version on the same disc. I have a copy of "McKenna's Gold" and it has this feature.

No It a single side DVD with art on the other side.

Well, I just received my purchased in advance of release copy and am thoroughly disgusted. I'm going to leave an appropriate review at Amazon where I purchased it.

The part that gets me is that the original trailer was supplied, complete in letterbox format. Judging by what I saw, Sydney Pollack made good use of the wide angled format.

i was headed on my way to work when i turned to AMC before shutting the tv off. The opening credits of Castle Keep were enough to hold my attention for several minutes. After 30 mins of watching i was hooked. i called out of work, and was pleased that i had. Castle Keep was the kind of war movie that i could get into. the characthers were beleivable, and the action was top notch for a '75 release. the only thing i look forward to into the future surrounding this movie is that they do not remake it at all.

great movie

9/10

ps. all the girls in the Burlesque House were H.O.T.
