Black Brigade

I found this in a 36 DVD pack that I bought online from some site I can't even remember. It was titled "America Stories of War" and it cost me the tidy sum of $20. The DVDs came in a metal box made up to look like one of those ammo boxes the military uses. It contains documentaries, actual footage from WWII, Korea, and Vietnam, plus full length movies such as "Black Brigade" which appeared on TV as "Carter's Army" The movie was worth everything I paid for it which when you consider the number of videos on the DVD I bought was less than $0.10.

I enjoyed the movie because of the African American cast. Appearing were Billy Dee Williams, Richard Pryor, Rosey Grier, Moses Gunn and Robert Hooks.

I'd love to find out it is based in fact but I usually leave the fairy tales to Disney.

General bypasses other generals, colonels, and majors to assign this mission to hard ass white cracker Carter......My *beep* detector went off.

White hard ass cracker finally starts respecting the blacks as soldiers so he addresses then as "soldier" instead of "boywee" Funny he losses his phony southern accent at the same time.

I remember well these Aaron Spelling/Danny Thomas productions from the '70s. Like I said, it was worth what I paid for it.
