Making winter look like summer

I've heard of 'day for night' filming, but this was 'winter for summer' filming!

I cracked up laughing when I saw the 'hippy rave' scene with the sign saying '10 August' when it is quite clearly late autumn (it was filmed in November) and the lawn is strewn with dead leaves!

I actually think they didn't do a very good job of making it look like summer - eg, they could have swept the leaves up and they could have laid green sawdust or something to cover the obvious mud all over the fields...

Oh yes, all of those leaves on the ground really ruin my enjoyment of this film......

They did well to change the seasonal look in the film. Although that mud was noticeable at times. I suppose they couldn't spray the entire ground green. According to someone in the new documentary, 'Carry On Forever,' the green paint stuck to their clothes. The cast must have looked a mess off camera.
