did Martin...?

Did he kill the little girl? I don't understand that scene at all, I mean the scene when the girl is lying on bed and Martin gets close to her. Then she wakes up goes up the stairs, and then, finally, we see her hanging from the roof.

Did he kill her for vengeance? Did he kill her for not tell him that she was sick before they have sex?

I wasn't convinced by her hanging herself.

No matter how traumatic her experiences had been, I would have thought hanging to be the reaction of someone older.

I think at that age a child is too young to be aware of hanging, let alone to consider it.

reply

I also think he murdered her.

Nah.

reply

You're saying you don't think she hung herself and you don't think Martin murdered her? What happened, then, according to you?

reply

Sorry, I wasn't saying she didn't hang herself, she clearly did.

What I meant was that in reality I don't think it would occur to a child that young to do that.

reply

Martin states later that he knew that the little girl was going to hang herself, and did nothing to stop her. We never saw him sexually molest her, but it is implied, as was the implication that he was a degenerate.

reply

I, too, believe she hung herself.

reply

I don't think he killed her. After he molested her I believe she hanged herself. That's how I interpreted the scene.
