reply

Dir. Clint Eastwood
Travis Fimmel as Harmonica
Bryce Dallas Howard as Jill McBain
Karl Urban as Chayenne
Russell Crowe as Frank

reply

I like that cast.

reply

Director - Mel Gibson
Harmonica - Benicio Del Toro
Jill McBain - Salma Hayek
Cheyenne - Owen Wilson
Frank - Agree with Tom Hanks. Second choice, Kevin Costner

reply

Salma too old.Owen Wilson too play dangerous character like Chayenne?

reply

She doesn't look too old to me. She only looks like late 30s. Jill, in my opinion, is a prostitute who is on the edge of no longer being marketable. That's why she chose to marry McBain. I think Salma now looks the same age as Claudia Cardinale did in 1968.

Cheyenne is the "ugly" in the triad of Frank (Bad) and Harmonica (Good). I think Wilson, provided he played it a little straighter than usual, would add the right touch of levity. I never took Cheyenne seriously as a deadly gunman in the original, compared to Harmonica and Frank. In a very serious movie, Cheyenne was essentially the comic relief.

reply

Salma does not look like 25-30 years old woman. She clearly look like 50 yo. Lots of botox and make up on her body.
In my opinion, she's just too old. I fell J Law would perfectly fit into that role. Perfect age, perfect look, good actress, and great role to her to shine. Chayenne was kind of comic relief, but also man who was feared and wanted. Not to be mess with. Even Frank's gang didn't want to attack Chayenne's gang. Hey.maybe Owen Wilson could surprise us. Bale is my pick, dangerous and comic.
Also,I'm little sceptical in Tom Hanks as Frank. Do you really think he can be convincing as Fonda?

reply

If we want to do the 'beloved actor surprises us as a cold killer' Hanks is really the only choice. He's not as good an actor as Henry Fonda, but he is more or less the modern equivalent as far as his image.

reply

Yes. Also, character has to be around 60 like Fonda was in 1968. Hanks,Costner,Clooney,Quaid,Gibson,Depp are similiar profil of actors who could fit into that role.
