Without a doubt. Amazing. It takes advantage of the capabilities of cinematic medium like no other film. Perfect mix of great visuals and sound. And it's not just style, but deep and touching story. Perfect film if there ever was one.
shareI wouldn’t give that title to any film myself, but OUATITW is 100% a bonafide cinematic masterpiece. Also the finest western there is, for my money.

shareTerrible, but everyone knows that when someone claims some half-fast movie is the greatest film every made. Ha! Irrelevant, violent, one-dimensional ( but maybe you live in Flatland? ) and just a white exploitation film. I give it about 3/10.
Like someone said ... "Unforgiven". Now that movie had a point, a more believable story, and at least some history behind it.
I prefer Lawrence of Arabia and 2001: A Space Odyssey.
shareIt's a great film but I don't even think it's Leone's greatest achievement (that would be Once Upon a Time in America, for me). I do prefer this to any of the dollars trilogy though.
