Screenplay?

Is the screenplay still available on internet somewhere? All i seem to find is dead links.

Does it have to be online? I read a paperback of the screenplay years ago, and the book can still be purchased in new condition from Amazon for $1.95 plus S&H. It's not exactly like the movie, but it gives the lines, tells what the characters are feeling, what certain images convey, as well as the type of camera shots used.

I too would love to read the actual shooting script, or earlier.

I have the book, but in my opinion the scripts published in book form in that period were more embellished transcriptions of the films, like novelisations, albeit based on an early cut, or earlier, the film as shot. Its clear from numerous comments by numerous people involved, all with different agendas, that there were many elements which are in the film and in the published script.contributions to this film which did not come from Goldman. Remember, in those days films were not readily available in home formats, even on TV, so audiences wanted "souvenirs" of the films, when they couldn't actually re-watch them (anyone remember "photonovels"?).

It would be absolutely fascinating to know what the company was actually working with at the onset of production, but I don't feel I do, and I don't think the published version shows that much light on it.

If anyone should know if that material is available anywhere, in any format, I, and I'm sure many others, would love to know!
