Why isn't Ken Hechler given credit as the writer of the book?

He is only credited as one of several consultants. I have noticed with other movies based on books, the author is listed in the writing credits, along with the screenplay writer.

I guess it's like looking at clouds. You see one thing and I see another. Peace.
