Best Peanuts cartoon

Who else thinks this feature was the best Peanuts cartoon. It captures the spirit of the strip perfectly.

I'm responding almost three years since you posted this, but I finally saw "A Boy Named Charlie Brown" and I agree 100%. It captures the very essence of Schulz's imaginative characters. It brings in all the classic elements of the story: Charlie Brown's inability to kick the football, to fly a kite, Lucy's unrequited love for Schroeder, Sally's for Linus, and so on and blends it all perfectly. And the resolution of the film was surprisingly powerful. I've seen great many of the animated specials and liked them all, but this is hands down the best one.

Best, I don't know. It's certainly one of THE best but I also think Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown And Don't Come Back, and its mini-sequel, What Have We Learned, Charlie Brown? are among the best too, and so is He's Your Dog, Charlie Brown.

Glad you liked it

Of course...it's the first Peanuts cartoon I ever saw, I absolutely love it.

Check Out "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" but save it for Halloween.

I've seen that one since I was 9 years old, it's great too, I especially love it when Snoopy imagines he's the World War I flying ace making his way through the battlefield.
