The two guys would have hooked up and the two women would have hooked up.

Natalie and Dyan would have been HOT.

I'm GAY - but I don't think Bob and Elliot would have been HOT (although for as much as I dislike HAIRY BACKS the fact that Elliot's character took so much time to make sure his breath smelled "sweet" would have been enough for me to find him attractive: HOT HAIRY "SWEET" GUY - YEAH BABY!!!)

I'm gay as well, and I agree it would've made more sense if everyone slept with everyone. BUT despite the sexual revolution of the 60's Hollywood was still itself very much in the closet. Then again, there are heterosexual people who would've done it exactly as they do in the film. I just think these characters in particular would've made more sense exploring one another without restrictions on sexual orientation.
