war movies with real German tanks?

I had heard for so long before watching this movit that they used real surviving German Tiger Tanks. Not true. Their barrels are too small and the body is close, but not of the right dimensions. More likely, they made Shermans up a little using some light welding to make them look more like Tigers.

I noticed in this movie that all the German tanks are either T-34's, Shermans, or vague mock-ups of Tiger tanks. While in Operation Weiss it is possible that the Germans may have fielded some captured T-34's and Shermans (American lend-leases intercepted during the encirclements of 1941 and 42), they most certainly would have predominantly used Panzer III and IVs. I didn't see anything even approaching either of these in this movie.

Which has me wondering...

Are there ANY movies which use proper looking mockups of German tanks?

I remember COME AND SEE has a brief scene of a real Panzer III rolling by drunkenly (though not any action), and I think DOWNFALL has a good scene or two involving a parked Tiger used as a pillbox. Other than that, I'm coming up empty. Almost all American WW2 films use Shermans or M-48's with Iron Crosses painted on them.

Try Saving Private Ryan & Kelly`s Heroes-all Tiger 1 mock-ups but still pretty convincing.Enemy At The Gates has one or two Panzer III`s.

There`s a good thread on the Kelly`s Heroes board:"God I love Tiger 1`s"....some interesting posts there.
