If this is remade what about Michael Fassbender in Michael Caines role?

Wouldn't that be awsome? and have the movie scored by Hans Zimmer.

I would much rather see Fassbender in a German-speaking role, perhaps as Adolf Galland, who was heard but never seen in the original. I would hate to see Zimmer score a remake when there are so many newer, younger composers available. My top choice for an established, older composer would be John Williams, since his score for 'Star Wars' was greatly informed by Sir William Walton's original score for 'Battle Of Britain'.

Most of the charactors lower than General (or equivalent) rank are made up; Representatives of types and composites of real people rather than straight up portrayals.
So unless there is a direct remake of the film from the same script rather than a new telling of history - or more accurately a cinematic version of history - Cranfield's not going to appear.

Why remake it? The aerial scenes would be CGI, resembling a video game.
