Bambi's Revenge

I know some folks have done computer generated follow-ups to the classic "Bambi Meets Godzilla" over the past few years, but does anyone remember (and maybe even know where I can find a copy of) "Bambi's Revenge" which picks up exactly where the original left off?

I saw this many, many years ago (mid-70's) at a sci-fi con following the original short.

I just found this and saw your posting on Bambi's Revenge, is there such a thing and if so did you ever find it?

A true CLASSIC!!!!!!!!!

Bambi meets Godzilla scarred me for life.

It used to be on the VHS edition of Godzilla 1985... it played just before the opening credits to the movie.

actually, that is correct. I myself have a copy, and it comes on just before the flames at the start of GZA '85. so, in words of some random guy, "'tis true."

I'm glad I'm not the only one to remember Bambi's Revenge. Yes, it exists; no, I don't know where. Are there any copies of Godzilla 1985 in existance any more?

I saw that years ago as well on some compilation VHS. Starts right where this left off. Bambi's foot is sticking out and starts doing tapping. Then it lights a match and puts it between Godzilla's toes (does Godzilla have toes?) When it burns down Godzilla jumps up in pain and is seen jumping up and down and moving into the distance. It's been a long time, but I think it ended with Godzilla completing a cicular course and landing back on Bambi again at the end. Looked for it on Youtube and could not find it. It was done in exactly the same line art animation as the original.

Every so often, this short comes up in my memory banks and I am glad I looked it up. I saw these movies at camp as a young lad and they blew my mind! They were on film and shown on a bed sheet while we sat around on bunk beds. I am glad I'm not the only one to remember "Bambi's Revenge!" Having now looked it up, apparently Marv Newland was not involved as I had originally thought. The action (warning: spoilers ahead, actually, spoiler ahead) takes place with Bambi's legs sticking out from under Godzilla's left foot, one leg reaches out and digs up a bundle of dynamite (why it's there is a mystery) and places it between Godzilla's toes. He then lights a match and starts the fuse which sets off the dynamite. We get a brief shot of Godzilla's startled face and then a pull back shot of Godzilla missing most of his left leg. At this point he begins, understandably, hopping around in pain. As he hops away, he becomes a hopping dot in the distance. Bambi proceeds to get up, shake the cobwebs out, and return to fully upright just in time for Godzilla to go full circle and bring down his remaining foot wherelse but right back on top of Bambi! Classic!
