I feel the same way krazykarl.. I love this movie and there has been no american release date. I think criterion would be perfect to distribute it.

The British Film Institute (BFI) DVD will be released at the end of this month (November) with commentary, etc. Criterion has a pretty full schedule at present, so I would expect their DVD in March, maybe April. The BFI is obviously PAL, but if you're desperate to see the film (again) then by all means order the BFI.

Criterion just takes their time, with Rilato having the distribution rights in the US Criterion will probably release the DVD.
Look how long it took them to release Mouchette after it was theatrically re-released.
