Who is the waitress in the Safari Club who takes Jack Lemmon's money just before he and Catherine Deneuve leave? It's NOT Lisa Todd, who either first takes them to their table or gets their drink order. No, the woman who takes Lemmon's money is African-American, extraordinarily statuesque, and puts Lemmon's bills into her jaw-dropping cleavage. She has a few lines of dialogue, so you'd think she'd be credited, but I guess that wasn't yet policy back then...

You may notice that with that elaborate headdress, she is also wearing a pound of makeup (most likely an attempt to make her seem much older than what she really was at the time) and she has only two lines she speaks in a slight accent (I think) -- she is still working today and would be great to contact for her side of the story.
If any of us live to see the day this movie is ever released on dvd (the only thing stopping it these days would have to be music rights), she'd be great to interview for the 'Special Features'.
Sorry, dude. I hate to contradict you, but I think you are wrong on this one.
Lisa Todd is white. She, for example, played the bad guy's lesbian sidekick, Magda, in "Woman Hunt"; check that movie out to get an idea of what she looked like at this time. (Nowadays she's almost unrecognizable, what with all the plastic surgery she's clearly had.)
Also, she was a semi-regular on 'Hee Haw,' and I don't recall there ever being many black people on that show, apart from maybe Charlie Pride. (That's not a slam on 'Hee Haw' - I love that show - just stating the facts. That's all.)
I almost have to wonder if the woman I'm asking about - the astoundingly stacked African-American cocktail waitress at the Safari Club - was a woman who also was named Lisa Todd...but is no relation whatsoever to the Lisa Todd of 'Hee Haw' and "Woman Hunt" fame. Just a thought.
