Filming Locations! I see Hever castle was used but not Tower Of London

I thought they had filmed at the tower, certainly looked like it.

The Tower scenes were either filmed on set at Shepperton or Pinewood studios. Hever, being privately owned at the time, became available, and the exterior has changed very little since the Bullen family owned it. The interior, however, has changed considerably and all of the 'interior' Hever shots were filmed on set. As the Tower is a working fortress and has changed so much visually since Anne's coronation and execution, it was decided to recreate it in set form. It was criticised for looking 'tacky' at the time, however I think it still stands quite well as a fairly good attempt. It certainly isn’t accurate, but gives a good idea of the feel that the Tower has. Dover Castle has been used on several occasions to stand in for the Tower, most convincingly in the 1986 film 'Lady Jane'.

It was also most recently used as a Tower stand-in in 'The Other Boleyn Girl'. I don’t believe that a feature film has ever had access to within the Tower walls. The BBC Series 'Elizabeth R' managed to gain access to the Water Gate for Elizabeth's entrance into the Tower (Inaccurately) as they were refurbishing the gates, and there is a short clip of Glenda Jackson walking through the 'Bloody Tower' gateway.

I heard say the executioner was very good, and I have a little neck
