Stunning Technicolor

I was re-watching this on DVD lately and was awed at the stunning color of the film. I thought to myself that it had to be in real Technicolor and IMDB confirmed that. What a beautiful film process!

This film was shot in Eastmancolor that was processed by the Technicolor labs, so the credit goes to Technicolor, but it's not really Technicolor. But it does look beautiful.

It is a beautiful film to watch regardless of the process. It is populated by great British stage/film actors as opposed to stars (although Burton fits both categories). One of the last grand big studio undertakings.
