Location of Filming

The majority of the movie was filmed at Universal's backlot. In fact, the church is still on the backlot only now it sits at the end of western street next to the lagoon and the parting of the sea attraction. The neighborhood in the film is actually Wisteria Lane from "Desparate Housewives."
