Misogyny was alive and well in the 1960's

After Christian slaps her around quite a bit, Leslie says: "I don't know who I am". Christian responds: "You're my girl, that's who you are". Leslie responds: "Say it again". Christian repeats: "You're my girl". Leslie answers back: "That'll do".

Up until that point in the movie (the end, btw), there were some interesting dynamics and some interesting points being made. The way the movie ended, however, caused me to throw up more than a little bit in my mouth.

"Love isn't what you say or how you feel, it's what you DO". (The Last Kiss)
