Curious incomplete dubbing

Apart from my overall opinion of this film (very obviously cheap and pretentious), the version I saw (UK satellite channel Movies4Men) had very odd gaps in the dubbing (French-to-English).

For no obvious reason, whole passages seem to have been forgotten about for dubbing. I don't mean the occasional bonjour, oui, non, but whole scenes.

Any ideas whether there is something intentional (god knows what) in this? Or just too cheap to bother? I can't think of any good reason.

The dubbing is just incomplete. Maybe it was incomplete because the film is just poor.

Okay, rather than jumping to dumb conclusions like Prismark10 above me, I think I know the answer. It's the fault of the TV company. Basically, there are multiple versions of this film. The 1969 international version is in English. There was also a French hardcore porn version released in the 70's which cuts out several scenes. The channel must've assumed the French dub was the original and tried to broadcast it as such only to revert to the 'original' English dub after realizing that the French dub was incomplete. They probably didn't even use an actual film print but rather the Blue Underground DVD (which contains both the English version and the French porn version).

Also, how is this film 'pretentious'?

You accuse Prismark 10 of "jumping to conclusions" then you jump to conclusions yourself ???. I have 4 different versions of the film. I would not even hazard a guess at what was going through the minds of those involved in the final cuts. Pretty much just standard Franco trash.
