I was a kid when this was on, so I'm not sure if it was this show or not, does anyone recall an episode where he crashes his bike, and basically fixes it with a rock and sticks? Or maybe some other movie or series?

I haven't seen this show since it first aired either, but I believe the episode was called "The Forest Primeval". As I recall he went down a steep embankment intop the woods and basically did as you recall. Then again I could be way off on the title.

Thanks, this sounds exactly like the episode. I barely remember the series, I was a kid, but for some reason this episode has always stood out. Maybe it's because I used to do similar things in my misspent youth...

Hopefully this series will be broadcast again, I always wondered why it never had a cult following.

I think he broke/crashed that poor sporty on very episode! I don't remember the stick and rock one though.

The Then Came Bronson episode was called The Forest Primeval. The actual rock was saved and given to a Harley dealer in southern CA. (He was still there in the late 1990s and was using the "Bronson rock" as a door stop. It was humorously given an H-D tool ID.)
