How old are you Sesame Street fans?

I'm 28 :), I grew up watching Sesame Street but I rarely watch it nowadays. Not just because I am too old but because the show is nothing like it was when I was a kid. It's still nice to visit with old friends once in a while though.

I guess my favorite era of Sesame Street was from about 1989 to 1994. Those were the years I watched it the most.

That is the exact reason why I don't care to watch the new version. I prefer 90s version with the hip hop theme closing credits with all those kids dancing.

I guess my favorite era from Sesame street is probably 1993-1997/1998. I remember I would watch it right after I came home from school.

I am 30. I remember as a kid watching this and enjoying the segments of the different puppet characters like Big Bird, Snuffy, Oscar the Grouch, Ernie and Bert, Cookie Monster, etc. I didn't mind Elmo back when he was a supporting character along with everyone else but watching the show fairly recently it seems they don't use the other muppets that much anymore. So I prefer watching older Videos. Always loved Grover the waiter bits with the other blue muppet in a suit who was always upset with him.

I was watching a celebratory segment from 60 Minutes Australia in 2019, and the reporter announced that there was a new kid named Charlie, a girl on the show. The format had not had a new kid character in 13 years.

I have you all beat. I'm 50 and have been arund watching since it started. I haven't watched the last few years since the format and characters changed. I don't have cable so with so few channels pbs has always been my main channel since I don't like soaps, gossip, and talk shows.

Let me answer that question with a headbutt!

We are around the same age, I was 2 when it premiered. I still get teary eyed when I see vintage clips on YT.

I watched from like 1992-1997

For me, it lost its charm once they added that Elmo's World segment.
