I've just bought the box set and it says 'All 74 episodes' yet the entry on IMDB here, says 75 episodes, which is correct?

I think the Christmas episode is missing.On the box set.

I would say it is most likely an error on this site. It wouldn't be the first time that the star of a program has not been listed for all the episodes on here.

On Wikipedia, the entry for Reg Varney mentions he lost favour with his fans after leaving On the Buses. It also mentions he spent a lot of time doing shows in Canada, Australia and New Zealand, where he was very popular. So this may have been a contributing factor to him leaving the show. I believe the entry for the number of episodes is correct.

Reg Varney left half way through season 7 so only appeared in 68 episodes.

Arthur left at the end of series 6 and Stan left for a job up north in the middle of series 7! Although both came back for the films!
