You can barely recognize the geezers. Nice pics from the show.
And now for something completely PC: Monty Python stars censor 'Chinese only come up to your knees' song for big O2 reunion http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2681898/And-completely-PC-Mont y-Python-stars-censor-Chinese-come-knees-song-big-O2-reunion.html

I went last night and really enjoyed it. Laughed hard and frequently.

Wasn't perfect, didn't understand why they screened so many old clips and animations instead of producing new material for the screens. The dancers, while extremely talented and brilliantly cherographed by Arlene Phillips, were often just filler while the Pythons changed costumes backstage.

The magic was when any of the Pythons were on stage. Palin and Idle haven't lost anything with age, Cleese doing 'Anne Elk' and 'Death of Mary Queen of Scots' was stunning. Gilliam approached every brief appearance with passion, his Gumby doing flower arranging killed me, as did his Aussie in the Bruce's sketch. Jones started slow, using cue cards, but any time he played a female character he aced it.

The scenes transitions were great too, loved how 'Spam' transitioned into 'Dead Parrot'.

Was quite sweet and moving seeing all five of the Pythons in white tuxedo's at the end singing 'Always look on the bright side of life'.

Cleese said at the press conference that he's noticed at concerts that the fans are always the least enthused when the band says that they're going to play some new material. I think he had a point, since I feel the show would've been incomplete without the fish slapping dance.

That said, I agree wholeheartedly with the rest of your post.

What a cóck the writer of that article is.

What on earth was the point of that newspaper sending somebody who doesn't like/understand Python humour in the first place?

The last show was on the 20th. Was theater-cast and broadcast on Danish TV. Will there be a DVD?

I also got to do the "meet & greet" thing afterwards,
There was a meet-and-greet? Damn, I was there on July 15th and had no idea!
