" Don't Talk About Darkness"

I just saw this episode on Cozi TV, and am perplexed about the ending...can anyone tell me, did this final surgery that the specialist did on his right eye before the baby was born, fix the detached retina permanently so he won't go totally blind ?

Also, was anyone as angry as I was with Consuelo for reacting the way she did when she met Mr Carpenter ? What did she mean, " I didn't expect him to look like THAT " ?? He's an average looking man, what was he supposed to look like ? Does she expect everyone to look like Dr Kiley ? And what makes her think SHE 'S so gorgeous that she can say that about someone else ???

No, the final surgery did not keep him from going totally blind.

Re: Consuelo - we all make assumptions about what someone looks like before we actually see them face-to-face. (You may not think she was gorgeous in Marcus Welby, M.D. but you should see her in The Moon and Sixpence (1942) when she was 16 or 17 - she was stunning.)
