This series needs to be rebooted

How would you like to see this redone.

Wonderland Exile

I don't think it will. It was a unique show to say the least. I used to watch it when I was a teenager and it would come on late at night around 11:00pm on Friday or Saturday. There was some funny episodes.

It's just been announced that CBS is in development to try and reboot it.

No, it doesn't. It would never work anyway. They already tried a remake in 1985 with The New Love, American Style. It flopped. People these days aren't interested in innocent love stories. They'd want to see lots of good looking young people in skimpy costumes, with racy dialog and more than a little sack time.

I think TV LAND could do it. The key is sharp writing, and interesting array of guest stars.

I typed in Love American Style in the search engine on this site and there's info on a new series in the works for 2014.
It shocks me because that would be the third time this show has been done. There's not a lot of info on it and I figured it wasn't going any where until I read the post here that someone said they heard it was in the works.
Could they possibly be that dumb?
It would really have to have GREAT writers to stand any chance at all. And it couldn't be corny. I don't know.....I think it would be a long shot at best.

as the too-good-for-all-men female lead opposite Brad Cooper, Channing Tatum and others who aspire to land her v but can't.

This could never be rebooted. Anthology series are a dead format, especially now that everyone's become a hardcore serial drama fanatic.

Also, part of the charm of the series was seeing all these popular character actors and TV stars appearing on this show from week to week. Most actors today are too diva to "guest star" in a program like this or would want something like $1 million from the producers before signing on or demand that the episode be written to put them in the best light possible.

I think there would be a shot if the reboot was more glamourous and could attract a lot more stars.

So probably a better shot if picked up by a cable network like HBO or Showtime.

Then the actors wouldn't be as snooty about appearing on it. Plus if it were on cable, they could even make them a little more sexy and daring.
