Did Paramount trash the original episodes?

I can't prove this claim, but a knowledgeable-sounding person has stated that Paramount cut up the later seasons for syndication, and then tossed the original masters in the trash. According to the claim, that is why only season one was released on DVD. Perhaps that explains why the other seasons have never come out on DVD.

Then how have they managed to air them?

I saw on tv the Happy Days episode which was from season 3 episode 22. This was late 2013.
And they aired many other later episodes as well.

With most of old programs they only release the first season and only if sales merit do they then release other seasons
So unless they just destroyed them, they still exsist. And why would they wait until 2014 to burn all the rest of the series.

I guess whoever told you this was mistaken. Happens to the best of us.

Sadly, they didn't show LOVE AND THE HIP ARRANGEMENT. I DVR'd that week of Decades TV, hoping that the episode would show up.
