Is the Johnny Cash Show Public Domain?

Is the Johnny Cash Show in the Public Domain? I have 30 DVDS of the show. The tricky thing about these old shows is that sometimes a Show itself would not be registered & fall into Public Domain, but the Soundtrack or Music to the show would be registered & have a copyright. I don't know if that's why the company that was supposed to release some episodes of this didn't. It's a tricky thing. You can't exactly release a series without the sound.

I don't know about public domain, but a dvd titled "The Best of The Johnny Cash TV Show" is available at amazon.com. I just got it and I enjoyed it very much, but rather than complete shows, it is a selection of musical performances by Johnny, June, Mother Maybelle & the Carter Sisters, the Statler Brothers, and guests, with a few snippets of comedy by June (her funny poems) and the Statler Brothers. It was so great to see so many loved performers in their youth again including Bob Dylan, Linda Ronstadt, Kris Kristofferson, Louis Armstrong, Loretta Lynn, Marty Robins, George Jones, Charlie Pride, Roy Orbison, Glen Campbell, the Everly Brothers with their dad, Merle Haggard, Neil Diamond, Neil Young (ick), Ray Price, and Tammy Wynette. My only complaint is that the only glimpses of the Carter Sisters and the Statler Brothers were too brief and too few.

I am sure that someone is claiming copyright on the show, because I can not find it anywhere, legally. Where did you find your set of Johnny Cash Show dvds?
