I believe that The Criterion Collection in the USA will be releasing the complete 7-part, 378-minute series on DVD at some point. They are releasing four films by Malle in April and Orbit in the UK will be releasing nine films in June(?).

More info when I get it.

I believe this DVD is out now which is great news - but does anyone happen to know whether it's subtitled English?? Or is it in French? I am trying to get hold of an English version but not sure if this exists...

It has removable English subtitles, it's actually pretty funny, quite a few of the people interviewed speak English, then Malle translated them into French. Criterion left Malle's translations, and then translates Malle into the subtitles. hehe

I cannot recommend this series enough, I just spent the last six days completely mesmerized by Phantom India. I am quite eager to watch Calcutta now. This Eclipse boxset is great!!!
