DVD Release
I've not seen a recent post about this so will try again...
What is the official reason why we haven't seen this show on DVD or perhaps Netflix streaming? The musical guests rights perhaps?
I do not know of a single complete series set of any old variety show, let alone complete series set on DVD ever of this type of wonderful programming. I hope it comes out on DVD. Besides the music issues, it may have something to do with the studios of these types of shows assuming that there's a lack of interest in variety entertainment, since there's never been any full season sets of classic variety shows. As far as an official reason, you're probably going to need to contact the owners of the series.
