One boat or Two?

The opening scenes always felt different from everything else on the show. These are the only ones that take place in the actual world. Does anybody know if they used one boat or two during the filming? At first I thought it was the same boat painted over from blue to black, but there are differences between them that make me think there were two separate boats. Additionally, the shot where the blue boat smiles and rolls its eyes was done with a fake puppet head since the blue boat's head in the other shots is stiff and different. Does anybody know if the answer to this was actually put down somewhere?

Don't take this as gospel, but I'm pretty sure they were two different boats -- and there's absolutely no question that the close-up of the boat's face was a puppet head (they did that sort of trick a lot on the various Krofft shows).
