To settle an argument I really need to know some information about HR PUFNSTUF in Australia, in particular in relation to the original and any subsequent TV broadcasts of the the series on Australian TV. Any information or help that can be provided will be most appreciated.
Does anyone actually know or remember which TV channel HR PUFNSTUF was broadcast on in Australia? Everyone I ask seems to have a different recollection of this, so I'm hoping to get a definitive answer from someone who may know.
Was it originally on the ABC or one of the commercial networks?
Also, did it ever screen on the ABC?

I don't know but my mum says Channel 9.

I honestley have no idea, my memory doesnt go back that far, but i saw some reruns on TV1 on Foxtel.

i saw it on wintv about 20 years ago! which is now owned by channel 9!
so i say channel 9!
The banana Splits was on the abc!

It was, without doubt, Channel 9. I used to watch it as part of the Super Flying Fun Show with Miss Marilyn and Marty.
I have never seen it on ABC, only Channel 9 and its affiliates (such as WIN) and on Foxtel.

I watched it a few years ago on Nickelodeon's Nick At Nite programming on foxtel.

my mum and her boy friend think that it was originally on 0.. i dont know what that is.. she thinks it was old 10.. but shes not sure.
i got 3 VCR tapes for my birthday about 12 years ago
i still watch them

I grew up in Canberra and we only had channel 7 and the ABC. My Mum believes it was on 7 which at the time was probably a hybrid of the three major networks. DVD available at K-Mart for under $30 for all 17 eps.

It used to be on ATV 0 (which is now ATV10) in Melbourne in the early 70`s (I`m talking around 1973?)as we only had a black and whit TV at the time. It was on the weekends in the morning. I vaguely seem to remember it being on channel 9 in Melbourne a few years later.

The 1970 movie "Pufnstuf" was on the ABC this morning at 1:10 am. Just thought I'd let you know.

The movie was just on again on ABC2. Finished about 11:15-11:20pm.
