Jack Wild a teen idol for this show????

Jack Wild was a teen idol due to this series but this show was too juvenile for preteens. I cant see teenage girls watching this show. I think whoever labelled Jack Wild a teen idol made a big mistake in the years.

Shows what you know! I watched this show because I had a huge crush on Jack Wild. Although, I was probably only 12 when it was on.

I also watched it because I was crazily crushing on Jack Wild. I was 15 at the time, and the show was definitely for young children -- I just wanted to see Jack sing and dance. He was a couple of years older than me, so 16-17 at the time of making the show. It's hard to overstate the depth of my crush. We can all be glad we grow out of such delirious desires for strangers.

"Don't est the bad mushrooms".

The west wind being John Wayne. lol.

Hippie trees. I forget if the hippie trees were goor or evil in this show.

A living talking grandfather clock AND a grandmother clock. LOL.

who was obviously his wife.

Also from the 1960's, try watching "Green Acres", "Lost in Space", and the 1960's tv series version of "Batman" and it's related theatrical movie with the same cast.

Also, "Get Smart" and "Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C."

Jack Wild was NOT a teen idol due to this show, but to the movie Oliver which was made a year earlier. This Saturday Morning show was a hit believe it or not for twelve to fourteen year old and it was so popular it was made into a motion picture of the same name with Mamma Casa and Jack Wild as the lead actors. Jack Wild was eighteen years old when this series was made.

He was more like 16, which still shocked me years later when I found that out. Jack Wild looked much younger than that.

No blah, blah, blah!
