A Dutch buddy of mine recommended this Rutger Hauer vehicle. I've seen better production quality on a test pattern. Oooopha.

Duh! That's the charm of the series! Floris is wonderfully out of date, in every way. It's black and white, the camerawork is wobbly, the dialogue is not brilliant, the props are often unconvincing, and the acting is no Oscar material either. You have to see it for what it is: a fun, old-fashioned children's series about knights. Don't compare it to modern stuff. I love it.
