Rosabel's right. I got my region-free from Amazon.com; it cost about $110 American two years ago and has seen an incredible amount of use, as I play all my videos - Region One and Two alike - on it.
Alternatively, you can play your Region Two videos on your computer. Almost all computers come with DVD programs these days, and most of them allow you to reset the regions three or four times before it locks in whatever region you've chosen last. If your computer has more than one DVD program (most have at least two), you can set one program for Region One and the other for Region Two. Or download the best, Intervideo WinDVD, for about sixty dollars, right off the Internet.
Then you won't be bothered by these silly region codes ever again, and you can watch tons of great British and Australian TV.
Doctor in the House alone makes it worth the price.
