Rex Reed's comment about John Wayne

On the DVD "comedy greats" collection, the program featuring Mel Brooks also
had critic Rex Reed as a guest, during which Cavett talked about the upcoming
Oscar telecast. After predicting that MIDNIGHT COWBOY wouldn't win Best Picture
(fortunately wrong there), he made a comment about John Wayne's nomination.
Part of the comment was bleeped out. Does anyone who saw this episode on the
DVD know what he said?
