Their house for sale

Los Angeles Times (this morning, Thursday, July 19, 2018, had a good article about it..) Now 12:00 AM where I am..:-)

Yep, and the house is selling for almost $1.9 million.

That’s a bargain for California. I read the inside looks nothing like the tv show version. It’s too small for a family of eight plus a lice in maid, but perfect for 4-5 people. I like Mike’s huge den and Alices’s quarters. Mike’s den should be the family tv room though. That tv room off the kitchen is tiny.

reply

They say developers are already showing interest in it to tear it down and divide the property. OUCH.

reply

Story I read says the realtors are having a lot of people looking at the house. Trouble is all they are doing is looking at it because it's the Brady house not serious buyers.

reply

LOL.

HGTV Bought it. Rumor is they might try to renovate it to look like the TV series. Wouldn't that be a feat considering the house looks to be about half the size of the set from the show.?

reply

Sources familiar with the project told TMZ the network plans to expand the 2,400 square foot house. It’s on a big lot, and TMZ was told they could add as much as 4,000 square feet to the back.

As for the interior, according to TMZ, the house needs gutting, because it bears no resemblance to the place Mr. Brady hung his hat. The exterior is authentic, but the interiors were all shot on a sound stage. TMZ’s sources have indicated HGTV will duplicate the ’70s look from the iconic show

reply

Sounds about right. As I said above I knew the interior was done on a set. I also understand that this house actually does not have a second level either.

reply

Yep, it's a ranch, so they'll have to hang that fake window up there again.

reply

Saw a commercial confirming the plans. Kind of ironic when you realize the previous owner did everything in his power to keep people from thinking of it as the Brady House.
