Did anyone have a real life Cousin Oliver?

Did anyone have a real life Cousin Oliver? My family did. Cousin Barry (not his real name) came to live with us after he lost both his parents in his teens. I don't remember him living with us very well because I was in preschool at the time. Barry wasn't much like Oliver. He was more like a Jewish Keith Partridge meets MacGyver.
