CNN disabled their comment page too

They were tired of posting news stories about gay folks and black folks and having viscous arguments ensue. It's one thing to have your own beliefs, but there is a way to express them in a civil manner. I think IMDB is tired of people who are hateful or nasty. It's uncalled for. The message boards are a way to discuss points of a movie, not how much you might hate or dislike certain people or things.

Agree... The IMDB boards were full of Trolls who just wanted to get people pissed off and react angrily. I don't know what they got out of it; bored with life I guess.

And then politics had to enter into every discussion. So far, people seem to be behaving more on MC, for the most part. It's not even used 10% as much as IMDB was though.
