Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf and a bad movie?

Hi, I just wonder if someone can help me? Do you know what year(s) (and if it's available on DVD) the episode with the spoof of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf (where B.H played the part of Elizabeth Taylor) and the episode about a very bad made film set on a cruise ship was aired?

reply

First, in terms of R.1 DVD's, they're all available. First, the Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? spoof (Hill played not only La Liz, but also Richard Burton) originated from the April 21, 1976 edition; and there are quite a few "bad films" that took place on cruise ships in whole or in part, namely the "Passengers of Love" sketch (from O.A.D. March 24, 1971) and "The Police Raid in Waterloo Station" which had a scene taking place on a cruise ship (from April 25, 1979). All these shows are in different sets of A&E Video's R.1 Complete & Unadulterated series; if in R.2, you'll want the 1971 and 1976 editions of The Benny Hill Annual (it'll be a few months before they come up with 1979).

Thanks! I think the "bad movie" I referred to, was "Passengers of Love".

I love that sketch!

Are you really a second class passenger? Said each time slower and slower and then faster and faster. So funny.

I remember that sketch, but i have no idea of the season and episode number. When aired here in the US, they never seemed to include that information. It was a very funny bit.

I like the "Murder on the Oregon Express" (With Benny playing various US TV detectives (Cannon, Ironside, McCloud, Kojak [and Stabros!], as well as Hercule Piorot).
