re-release of the original?

I work at a movie theatre & today we received posters for a theatrical re-release of YS. I asked the manager, but he didn't know anything about it. I know it is the original because it has the classic image of The Beatles with the Yellow Submarine and the text declaring "Lovingly Restored" & "Now In Theatres" in large, white lettering. Anyone know anything about it?

I believe the original is being re-released on May 17. The DVD will be released a few weeks after. It is a limited time to see it on the screen.

I just found out at work yesterday that we are getting the re-release of the film, but it is an extremely limited showing, one performance on Thurs. May 17 and once on Sat. the 19th. Is the DVD a remaster of the original DVD from 8 or 9 years ago?

The Bluray and Standard DVD are available now to pre-order on Amazon. It will be released at the end of May. Check it out.

You work at the Cedar Lee Theatre? I just saw it there yesterday. I hadn't seen it since a being a kid (I'm 28, so it was on VHS), and it holds up!

I wonder how many different copies I need of this film? Have the original vynal although that's just a soundtrack not the film itself and somewhere along the way got a Quadraphonic 8-track too.

Then the VHS tape of the film that came out for a short time in the late '80s, then got pulled cause...well, for a lot of reasons, legal and artistic. Then the official re-issue on DVD.

Now you can get it on Blue-Ray and/or digital download.
