Slang Term Used

When the Beatles are in Pepperland, and about to jump over the thorn fence separating them from the Grand Bandstand, Paul spots a Blue Meanie and some guard dogs. He whispers a warning which almost sounds like "Davy . . . Davy!" Am I hearing this right? Can anyone clarify this?

"I'm not reckless . . . I'm skillful!"

I just watched that part, I definitely hear a "c" rather than a "d". i.e. "cavey, cavey". No idea what it means, no google hits. Maybe it means "careful", just something weird they made up on the day?

Cave canem means beware of the dog.

"Cave" (pronounced carvey) just means Watch Out! or Be Careful or similar in a general sense, even if there's no dog.

It's Latin. It was often used in public schools to warn when teachers were coming when the pupils were doing something they shouldn't.. Joyce Grenfell uses in in one of the St Trinian films
