In her last scene, when she's sitting there catatonic with grief, she looks for all the world like a teenager. I didn't realize who she was till I noticed the Senator hanging out.
She was also the same age as Diane Varsi (30). One likes to think that they shared a chuckle or two over the premise of the movie.
