I liked this one much better than The Touble w/ Angels!

...It's much more light-hearted and fun than its predecessor, and that theme-song was the best! Plus, we get to see all that beautiful scenery!

Another thing worth noting is that this movie was made more in 1970s style, which I often prefer over 1960s style film-making (just like I tend to prefer 1950ss rom-coms over those from the 1940s). Yeah, style of film-making has a lot to do with the differences in the two films too---not just the script. And, this one takes the cake for me! And, that Roz Russel! God bless her soul! <3

I am the movies I love! (^_^)

There were only two things in this film that bothered me a bit, only two reasons why I gave it a 9 instead of 10:

1. When one of the bikers had the knife up to Sister George's throat, the other nuns just stood there...I think they should have acted like they cared more...they should have been freaking out or something.

2. The very end, when Roz Russell and others walk outside, and we see their changed outfits/habits. I actually like the conservatism of the nuns. So, I could have done without that part. I mean, I get the statement that that part was trying to make. But, there were, perhaps, other ways to show that the nuns could be open minded, than to change the very style that is associated with them! That being said, I loved their new outfits at the end---I possibly even preferred them! So, I guess what bothered me is not that the outfits changed, but that it was implied that the prior outfits weren't good too.

But, other than those two parts, I'd say this movie is, very, very close to a perfect 10!

These movies have made me think about becoming a nun! I love them so much! The only thing is, if I were a nun, I'm not sure I'd ever be able to have my own DVD collection! Hehe!

When I was a student at a Catholic School in NJ, the Sisters' habit changed to the shorter version, but their veil didn't. Some of the older Sisters had their hems as long as possible because even before they took their vows, women did not show so much leg.

I haven't seen the original in decades so I can't say which I prefer but I just recently purchased the dvd of this one and this is the one that has always stood out in my memory the most.

I agree with you the final bit about the "change of habit(s)" just didn't ring true, especially for as conservative a leader as Rosalind Russell's character to approve.

Re the knife bit, well they're nuns, they believe a higher power is always in charge so while showed concern, like Stella Stevens' character they would have left it in God's hands.

Sorry, but I prefer the original. I went to NDA and there are a lot of similarities: the white gowns at graduation, strict nuns (they're really sisters but what's a title), we even had a dog...poor old Tyng. When I went there it was no longer a boarding school, but it used to be, and the girls used to get their via train.

I agree. I like this movie much more.

I also like this movie better than the original. The original had a 50's era feel to it but the new one had a mod 60's feel to it which made it more fun for me.

It couldn't have been made '70s style, since it was made in the '60s (which paved the way for the '70s more gritty and realistic style) but movies started looking and getting far more realistic in the '60s, with less of the Hollywood glamor--this movie in particular is somewhat of an example of that, even though it's a straight-up Hollywood film.
