I have just bought the book today and i am going to read it intime for the release of the dvd it will have n englsih sound option rite becuase i looked at a version that has just come out and it just had english subtitles thats all well and good but i think if its on for 6 and a half hours i need to watch it in english i love russia annd russian stuff but i cant speak a word of it

the dvd it will have n englsih sound optionThe Russian language version, for obvious reasons, is to be prefered to the English one IMHO. Give it a try, you don't have to watch the movie in one go. share

War and peace is a novel that it is very important to Russians as it gets right down to the Russian soul and it is, therefore, logical that you should hear how Russian actors portrait the (many) characters. I suggest that you switch back and forth between the two languages so that you can hear the difference for yourself. share
