Australian DVD?

Hello everybody.
I was wondering is this version of War and Peace available in Australia on DVD?
I haven't seen the 1968 Russian film and I was wondering if it's on DVD in Australia.
If you can help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hey, I was in JBHiFi in New Zealand the other day and I was (happily) shocked to find 2 copies of the Russian film there! I'm not sure if they were Zone 4. If it's in JBHiFi New Zealand, I'm sure that it should be available in JBHiFiAussie. Mind you, I couldn't find it on the Aussie website. Might have to ask... get them to transfer it from New Lynn Auckland branch if that's the case! Though it seems surprisingly available here, I was a bit wary about aspects of the release. I didn't know if the subtitles on this were permanantly embedded or optional and I had a feeling that the running time was a little bit less than the Ruscico one.

Yes, it is available in Australia - but not always very easily, and tends to be at more specialist shops than the mainstream, at least in my experience, which is confined to Melbourne. What city are you closest to? It is certainly easy to get over the Net, if you don't mind buying DVDs that way, which is how I got mine - directly from RusCiCo. Their prices are quite good (it costs about $70.00 AUS from there), although their delivery can sometimes be a little slow. But I have seen it in some stores in Melboure, too. There are several versions around, but I think you will find that the RusCiCo version, on 5 DVDs, is by far the best. Good luck - it is worth hunting down.

Is it available in any Brisbane DVD Stores such as JB Hi Fi?
If you can help me I would greatly appreciate it.
